Max Idlas was born in Marseilles, France in 1932 and moved to Paris in the 1950s to live in the artistic centre at Saint Germaine des Pres. He opened his first ceramics workshop in Montparnesse in 1965. In 1956-1999 he exhibited at the `Salon des Ateliers d` Art`.
