Pair of wardrobes with original green finish with painted parchment frames with bronze applied decorative details. The doors are etched with a classical Greek `key` design. The fitted wood interior comprises hanging rails, shelves and drawers.

Mario Quarti (1901-1974) was the son of a well known cabinet maker and friend of artists. He attended the Politechnic of Milan for his furniture making studies and completed his studies in France and England. Upon the death of his father he restructured the family business and collaborated with the celebrated Architects of the period such as Gio Ponti, Lancia and Paolo Buffa. He created single pieces of beautifully designed furniture as well as designing thecomplete interiors of houses. He used lacquers, etched glass and contrasting materials to create his classically inspired furniture.
